在冰冻的河面上开车你能够感觉到，冰面忽闪忽闪的一上一下，因为冰面下面就是水，你的命运就掌握在你的右脚上了，油门要是稳不住的话，你卡车前轮和冰面的接触角会发生忽然的变化，致使冰面破裂，然后的下一秒钟，你会意识到你完了，随后的一秒钟，你的脑子里面会加剧思考，而我的第一想法是，如果我掉进冰河，我只能坚持5分钟，然后的事情，只有上帝才知道，这是我最害怕的事情，每一次出车我都会在心里默默的祈祷~~~~~~~
加拿大北极地区的冬天零下40度-50度甚至更低，在这样疯狂的气温下，有一群疯狂的人，他们冒着生命危险向加拿大的北极和美国阿拉斯加地区运送给养，其中包括了所有你想得到的你想不到的物资，他们就是开着超大号重型卡车的司机们，其中有一名来自中国北京，他是这个群体里面唯一的中国人，曾几何时，他的特殊身份代表着整个亚洲。
今年即将来到的冬天，这里又将迎来新的挑战，我听到一些消息，从公司传出来的，由于去年卡车在北极冰路（winter ice road）的事故翻车率达到了27.3%，也就是说你要开车通过一条结冰的河面，你的安全通过率只有73%，所以很多公司的司机看到这个数据以后都离开了，加拿大北极地区的很多钻石矿金矿，需要很多的重卡司机，在冬天河道结冰以后的3个月左右的时间里面疯狂的将那些物资送到目的地，我看到的公司简报说，一个有经验的冰路卡车司机在2009年冬天最寒冷的3个月里面最高收入能够到达10万加币，对于那些热爱挑战的中国人来说，这无疑是个天大的好消息，3个月的拼命工作，你的收入差不多能够达到60万人民币（汇率约等于1加币=6人民币）我打电话到加拿大西北领地（Northwest Territory）的交通部门，得到的肯定答复的中国公民只要有合法的签证，只要有公司雇用也能来这里工作。族人们，挑战自我的机会来了，大家加油呀！！~~

Life on the Ice Road certainly offers challenge to any truck driver. You'll be responsible for the Cargo, and generating revenue for the trucking companies.
